Charles Broome Adds Value to Asia Africa

South African based Charles Broome, currently joint-Chief Executive of Added Value’s Asia Africa operations, will assume full responsibly for the region in January as co-CEO Chris Prox turns his attentions to Europe to lead the company’s German business, Icon Added Value. 

Broome’s responsibility will be to oversee South Africa, Australia, Japan, India and China, all key growth areas in the consultancy’s global network.  A WPP company, Added Value delivers insight-led solutions to their clients’ most pressing marketing questions, helping them ignite desire for their brands, businesses and people.

About Charles Broome
Charles Broome was educated at Rhodes University and has a B.Com Hons. degree. He started his marketing career with Unilever in 1987.  During his time there, he worked in Holland, Japan and the UK.  In addition to marketing, Charles worked in sales and business development in Latin America, Africa and India.

In 1997 Charles joined Added Value and in 1998 he opened Added Value South Africa (AVG Marketing).  Charles’ client experience includes SAB, Old Mutual, Unilever, Kimberley Clarke and Shell.  Charles has led brand creation, positioning, portfolio strategy, naming, brand vitality and brand architecture projects.
